UB+FOOTBALL

---Quarterback Jerry Davis pierced Rhode Island for 302 yards and four touchdowns, both career highs, to spark the passing attack and lead his team to a convincing 31-0 season-opening victory over the Rams in the coaching debut of Jeff Quinn.

---Opening weekend in college football isn't always filled with cupcakes.

---This isn't a good thought for SEC opponents: Urban Meyer is rejuvenated.

---Former Bills OC Steve Fairchild sees great things ahead for Colorado State.

Here's some video from UB's opener against Rhode Island.
