UB coach Jeff Quinn said on today's MAC coaches conference call that tight end Jake Reeder will be out at least for this week's game against Miami (Ohio) after suffering a knee injury in Saturday's 42-0 loss to Temple. Quinn said the Bulls were awaiting final word on the extent of Reeder's injury. Running back Jeffvon Gill was hurt on the same play and is day-to-day, along with wideout Alex Neutz, who Quinn said was "dinged" against the Owls.
Quarterback will remain an open competition this week, with true freshman Alex Zordich battling Jerry Davis for the starting nod. Zordich made his first career start against Temple, completing 11 of 26 for 98 yards.
