---Canisius College senior guard Robert Goldsberry is day-to-day after suffering what is being termed a mild head injury during Friday night’s game at home against rival Niagara University.
Goldsberry is being evaluated a tested daily by the school’s athletic training staff, according to sports information director Matt Reinhour. It is unclear if Goldsberry will be available for the Golden Griffins next game on Monday when they travel to face first-place Fairfield.
Goldsberry, the team’s top perimeter defender, was injured during the first half against Niagara when he took a knee to the head during a scramble for a loose ball. He remained on the floor for several minutes before being escorted to the locker room by trainers. He didn’t return to the game but sat on the bench for the entire second half.
Goldsberry has started all 20 games this season and is averaging 6.3 points and 2.3 rebounds a game.
