It's Wonderful for UB

---UB had one scholarship remaining from the Class of 2011, and used it Thursday on Wonderful Terrific Monds, a 6-3, 212-pound outside linebacker from Fort Pierce, Fla.

Monds had an offer from FCS Youngstown State and Alabama and Nebraska showed interest as late as January. His father, Wonder Monds, was an All-American at Nebraska in the early 70s and was also a baseball prospect. His uncle, Mario, played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins.

Bob DiCesare

Western New York native Bob DiCesare covers UB football, Big 4 basketball and writes an occasional column. He still holds a grudge against Chris Ford who, he's convinced, cost St. Bonaventure the 1970 NCAA basketball championship.
