---Dakar, Senegal native Youssou Ndoye has officially signed with St. Bonaventure after verbally committing to the Bonnies last weekend. The 6-9 Ndoye averaged seven points, seven rebounds and two blocks this past season for Lee Academy (Maine) and brings some much needed size to the lineup.
Here's a scouting report from ESPN.com:
Strengths:
Ndoye is a long and active five-man who makes his biggest impact on the defensive end of the floor where he blocks shots and alters others. He has good agility for a player his size with the sturdy frame to eventually have a very good body. He runs the floor very well, has pretty good hands, and a decent touch inside the paint.
Weaknesses:
Ndoye's offense is very limited and raw at the moment. He doesn't show any type of post-game outside of work-outs and isn't a threat to score unless at the rim. Athletically, he isn't quite as bouncy as he looks and lacks explosiveness around the rim as his reaction time can be a second or two behind the play.
Bottom Line:
Ndoye is an intriguing post prospect because of his long frame, high motor, and ability to impact the game at the defensive end of the floor but he is very raw and a few years away from making an offensive impact.
