Burkholder goes for 200th victory with Niagara tonight against winless Sacred Heart

Niagara hockey coach Dave Burkholder will attempt to reach a milestone tonight.

Burkholder, who has been in charge of the Purple Eagles' bench since 2001, will earn his 200th career victory with a win over Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. in Dwyer Arena. Buckholder enters the back-to-back outings against the Pioneers with a 199-167-47 record.

Burkholder would become the 80th coach in NCAA Division I history to earn 200 wins.

Niagara is 8-2-3 and ranked 20th in the U.S. College Hockey Online poll. Sacred Heart is 0-10-2.

Niagara goaltender Carsen Chubak leads the NCAA in goals-against average (0.99), save percentage (.970) and shutouts (five).
