Mississauga SF verbals to Canisius

---Canisius College on Wednesday picked up a 2014 verbal committment from 6-7 small forward Cassidy Ryan of Mt. Carmel High School in Mississauga, Ont. The earilest Ryan can sign with Canisius is Nov. 2013 and a lot can happen until then but the Griffs may have landed a steal if they can sign Ryan.

The video above shows how athletic he is and at least one publication lists Ryan as one of the top 75 players available from the '14 class. Here's what wrote about Ryan after the first day of Hoop Group Elite Camp Session II in Reading, Pa in July:

"With a college-ready body and the ability to score in a variety of ways due to his athleticism and strength, it is surprising that Ryan is not fielding much college interest at the moment. While a move to the United States could be a possibility this fall, college coaches need to put the rising junior on their radar."
