Niagara's Vince Muto an all-rookie selection

by Amy Moritz

Niagara's Vince Muto was named to the Altantic Hockey All-Rookie Team this morning.

The Niagara Falls native led rookie defensemen with four goals and 12 assists.

Also on defense as an All-Rookie selection was Mitch Nylen of Sacred Heart.

The forward line included Justin Danforth (Sacred Heart), David Norris (AIC) and C.J. Reuschlein (Army) while Chris Truehl of Air Force was the all-rookie goalie.

The Atlantic Hockey playoffs begin Friday with the first round a best-of-three series at the higher seed. Niagara hosts AIC at 7 p.m. at Dwyer Arena while Canisius hosts Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. at Buffalo State Ice Arena.

The teams will play again Saturday with Sunday the "if-necessary" game.
