The final numbers weren't pretty for Antwan Jamison in his debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night: 0 for 12 shooting, 2 points, 1 assist in 26 minutes.
"It was just one of those nights," Jamison told the Associated Press after the game. "It won't happen again. I can promise you that."
Fantasy owners hope not, but have to be worried. Not so much about Friday's performance, which will obviously get better, but about his long-term prospects with the Cavs. Jamison goes from being the first option to a DISTANT second behind LeBron James in Cleveland, and also has to deal with Shaquille O'Neal clogging the middle for the Cavs.
It wouldn't be a shock to see Jamison's points and rebounds dip with the Cavs, but his field goal percentage to improve, since he stands to benefit from some open looks based on other teams' preoccupation with King James.
