Voters flocked to the polls Tuesday to elect local, statewide and national leaders. And while some people in WNY were glued to their TVs and computers for outcomes, some music fans decided to relax at one of three concerts in the area at night.
First was a visit by the Dave Matthews Band, which kicked off its Fall 2010 tour in HSBC Arena. The concert was the first of 12-date East Coast jaunt that will carry through mid-December. Matthews has said that the band will take a break from touring in 2011. Here's a photo gallery of News photographer Sharon Cantillon's photos from the show.
Singer/songwriter and Buffalo-native Ani DiFranco stopped by her Babeville venue for a show Tuesday night. "It was simple, beautiful and true — a snapshot of a songwriter at the top of her game," News Contributing Reviewer Joe Sweeney wrote in his review.
And lastly was an appearance by the celebrated Prazak Quartet, which played Czech music in the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall. Here is a review.
