English smooth-jazz guitarist Peter White can boast of a dazzling resume as performer and co-writer on million-selling recordings from the likes of Al Stewart ("Year of the Cat," "Time Passages") and Basia. But tonight (Dec. 9), when he takes the stage at Buffalo State College’s Rockwell Hall Performing Arts Center, he’ll be indulging not in his own work, but in daringly arranged takes on some of the best-known melodies in all the world. "A Peter White Christmas" finds White joined by friends Mindi Abair and Kirk Whalum -- both renowned smooth jazz saxophonists -- in a celebration of seasonal melodies.
Ticket range from $15 for Buffalo State College students, to $35 for lower tier seating (box office, TicketGuys.com).
