Enthusued fans filled First Niagara Center on Friday, welcoming Rush to town for a stop on the Canadian trio's "Clockwork Angels" tour. The band played two sets, the first emphasizing 80s material, and the second given over in the main to the new "Clockwork Angels" songs. Set two included backing from an 8-piece string section.
The marathon-length show revealed Rush to be, after more thsan 35 years together, stil at the leading edge of heavy progressive music.
Look for my full review of the show in Sunday's Buffalo News, in the Gusto Extra Section.
