Alli Suriani and Donnie Burtless were two of the fortunate souls who got to test out the dinner that the Nickel City Chef home team will unveil to Manhattan gourmets on Oct. 16. Here's their report, with many hungrymaking pictures. (Worth the click to just to see the crazy veal and potato chip plate offered by Chef Brian Mietus of Bacchus.)
It was held Sunday at the Mansion on Delaware, where Nickel City Chef Jennifer Boye runs the kitchen. There's still tickets available for the James Beard House dinner, if New York City is an option for dinner that night.
