Christa Glennie Seychew is usually behind the scenes, organizing something that results in food. But Buffalo.com's Nick Mendola caught up with her recently to shed a little light on what drives the Buffalo foodscene booster behind Nickel City Chef.
Besides being responsible the Iron-Chef-like live culinary battle that is Nickel City Chef, Seychew helped start IN, Buffalo's free biweekly industry mixer at SeaBar on Monday nights, and was repsonsible for two cookbooks, including the upcoming "Food for Four Seasons."
On Nov. 6, the annual local farmer aid fundraiser called A Big Fuss will feature food from local chefs at Artisan Kitchens on Amherst Street. If it's like the last two, it'll feature some of the best fundraiser food of the year at a ridiculous price: $35.
Tickets for A Big Fuss 2013 will go on sale Oct. 11.
