By Andrew Z. Galarneau

The Lewiston Village Pub (840 Center St., Lewiston) has announced plans to close Sunday, in preparation for its sale. Nancy Fischer has the story here.

The owners plan to focus on The Griffon, their new Niagara Falls gastropub that has gotten good reviews.

"We just want to continue that ride and focus on that endeavor and open more Griffon Pubs,” owner Ken Scibetta told the News' Fischer. β€œIt’s been unbelievable at the Griffon. We see the potential of the Griffon and the traffic flow and we want more like it.”

He said their ultimate goal would be to open seven more Griffon Pubs in Western New York.
