Nothing's final yet, but bankruptcy might not be the last chapter in the story of Buffalo's storied tavern, at 674 Ellicott St.
News business reporter Stephen Watson has the story. It sounds like the deal is still in negotiations, but the story mentions former owner James F. Daley Jr. and people behind Globe Market and Snooty Fox as parts of a possible plan.
One thing seems certain: Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus officials will do "whatever it takes" to see a restaurant there.
"Officials with the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus have kept a close eye on the shuttered Ulrich’s. They say they don’t want to be in the restaurant business but they are ready to do whatever it takes – including buying the building and leasing it to a restaurateur – to make sure something opens at that location," Watson wrote.
