On this week’s IMportant People, we’ll learn more about the city of Buffalo’s namesake. Steven Rinella is the author of American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon and The Scavenger’s Guide to Haute Cuisine.  This outdoor adventurer shares his experiences in the wild and the lessons he’s learned about the largest land mammal in North American. In American Buffalo, Rinella describes his experience of hunting wild buffalo in Alaska and the significance of the animal to American history—including our own city.
