Kane comes to court, tracked by cameras
About an hour before Patrick Kane's 2 p.m. arraignment, news cameras were stationed on Delaware Avenue outside Buffalo City Court waiting for him to arrive.
When the 20-year-old Chicago Blackhawk did, along with his attorney and parents, the cameras and reporters followed them through the metal detectors and up to the seventh floor of the courthouse. But they were stopped just outside Chief Judge Thomas P. Amodeo's courtroom door.
Per the request of defense attorneys, cameras were kept out of the court proceeding.
Both Patrick T. Kane and his cousin, James M. Kane, 21, pleaded not guilty to charges of third-degree assault and theft of services, both misdemeanors, and harassment, a violation, during a five-minute arraignment.
After today's court appearance, Patrick Kane addressed reporters outside the courthouse. Listen to his statement here.

An Erie County grand jury convened last week indicted the Kane cousins on the above charges, Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita said Wednesday.
-Here's the story on the latest developments.
The Kanes are accused of beating 62-year-old cab driver Jan Radecki, leaving him with a broken nose and broken glasses.
Patrick Kane, a South Buffalo native, participated in orientation camp for the U.S. Olympic team earlier this week.
James Kane initially hired Daniel Barry Jr., an attorney who works in the Buffalo Legal Aid Bureau, shortly after his arrest. When he came to court today, he was represented by prominent Buffalo defense attorney Joel L. Daniels.
Patrick Kane's attorney is Paul J. Cambria Jr., another high-profile Buffalo attorney.

He should be thrown off the U.S. hockey Olympic team.

$900,000 a year, can't afford to tip a cab driver after underage drinking , then hires a legal aid attorney. You can sum it up under " no common sense"

Jay- His cousin was the one with the legal aid lawyer. Patrick hired Cambria, read the story before you comment, idiot !!

Okay, so the boys pled "not-guilty." It doesn't mean anything: it'll be up to a jury to decide whether or not they're guilty.
But the media silence on what exactly the underage Patrick Kane was doing on Chippewa that time of night is deafening (most of us can venture to guess what he was doing but that would be mere speculation).

Wow, look at all the cameras and reporters. I didnt know Buffalo could support all those reporters? Looks like there following the Vick case. At least Kane didnt wear those ridiculously huge sunglasses like Sean Avery did to his hearing.

Again Amodeo is involved...who does not do case rotation in that court for years...is hand picked!
Look out for the easy plea...and definitely....LIGHT sentence....an Amodeo trademark.
The only people that are impressed by high profile attys...are the judges...the rest of the citizenry don't know a good legal liar from a bad...Cambria is a good one..... citizens!

Why is this story continuing? Enough is enough! We don't care! Do you provide all this coverage for John Doe who mugged his neighbor on Smith St? on Hoyt St? on Minnesota?
Who is this Kane?

I don't think Hockey is a real sport. That is why it is not on TV like real sports. Buffalo should wake up and realize Hockey is silly and hockey players are goofy little boys who can't ball with the jocks.
Kane is a drunk little boy who needs rehab. Why is their a US Hockey team anyway (oh, it's winter olympics, the olympics for non-sports like curling, ice dancing, snowboarding, and hockey).
$900,000 a year for Kane and he's supposed to be the starof the NHL, that is minimum wage in real sports (NFL, NBA, etc....). Kane basically is a circus act. Ladies and Gents, see the drunk little boy take 20 cents from a disable old man, gather around and watch the freeks.

He is actually banned from Talty's! Not even the lowest dregs of humanity get banned from Talty's. His own teammates are not that fond of him either.
I have a feeling that one day St. Peter will ban him also.
