CLEVELAND -- It will be interesting to see how Red Sox manager Terry Francona handles his pitching staff for the rest of the ALCS. We know Curt Schilling will start Game Six and the Sox will have their entire bullpen ready at their disposal.
But what about if we go to Game Seven? You've got to believe Daisuke Matsuzaka will get the start if for no other reason than the Sox have to justify that $103 million contract. On the basis of who's pitching the best, I'd go with Jon Lester. Tim Wakefield should be available in relief and Josh Beckett (right) indicated after his brilliant Game Five performance that he might be able to pull a Randy Johnson and throw and inning or two of Game Seven relief.
"We'll delve into that later," the always foul-mooded Beckett scowled after Game Five. "Obviously I'm preparing myself for them to ask me that, and as of right now, yeah, I think that would be something I could do."
