Bisons' tribute to Offermann

OffstadIn honor of tonight's Offermann Stadium replica promotion (left) at Dunn Tire Park, here's some info for the younger set who don't know much about the place that was the home of the Bisons until Sept. 17, 1960:

First off, check out the Wikipedia entry on the stadium.

Andrew Kulyk and Peter Farrell, the Buffalo guys who hit the big time when they completed The Ultimate Sports Road Trip of all arenas/stadiums in MLB, the NHL, NBA and NFL, put together a terrific article in the most recent Artvoice.

These babies are certainly going to be hot and remember the rules: You get them starting at 6 p.m. at the Swan Street gate only, one per person. I do, however, have one question for the Bisons: How has one already shown up on EBay hours before the gates open? Doubt the team is happy about that.
