Bisons-Yankees updates

Updates on the Bisons-Yankees game in Dunn Tire Park, featuring Phil Hughes on the mound for Scranton and Victor Martinez in the lineup for Buffalo:

---Mike Harrington

End-1st: The game is scoreless as both teams left two men on base. The Yankees got back-to-back singles in the first off Bryan Bullington (the second by Shelley Duncan), and Victor Martinez lashed a two-out double for Buffalo. Martinez worked the count full and then pulled a 93-mph fastball from Hughes into the right-field corner to improve to 6 for 17 on his rehab stint. Following a walk to Michael Aubrey, Tony Graffinino bounced out to short to end the inning.

Mid-4th: The score is tied at 1-1 as both teams have three hits. Hughes was touched for a run in the second on Jason Cooper's RBI single. Scranton got that back in the fourth on Ben Broussard's massive leadoff homer to deep right-center. Melky Cabrera has grounded out and walked while Shelley Duncan has singled and popped out for the Yankees. Martinez flied to left in his second at bat for Buffalo. Josh Barfield is 0-2.

Mid-7th: Bryan Bullington has pitched into the seventh inning for the second time in his nine games with Buffalo but the offense hasn't done much for him as Scranton leads, 3-1. Bullington gave up a solo home run to Nick Green in the sixth and an RBI single to Melky Cabrera in the top of the seventh. Cabrera is 1 for 3 on the night. Victor Martinez grounded out in the sixth for the Bisons and is also 1 for 3.
