Simpson to throw out first pitch

UB president John Simpson will throw out the first pitch during the Bisons game at 7:05 p.m. tonight at Coca-Cola Field. According to the Bisons notes, Simpson played outfielder for Stevenson High School in Carmel, Calif. and still has the baseball glove he bought as an 8th grader: a Wilson A2010 model endorsed by San Francisco Giants pitcher Johnny Antonelli. Simpson grew up rooting for the San Francisco Giants and his favorite player was Willie Mays.
