Setting the scene for Strasburg day

Back at the ballpark for the Stephen Strasburg Show (should have slept here after last night's rain-delayed fiasco). It's cloudy but dry. The tarp is on the field just in case. If you're coming down, it's a little cool. I'd bring a jacket. And remember my words of advice about tickets from yesterday. Get here early. Parking can be a challenge downtown on a work day. Consider the subway.

I'm heading to the clubhouse to see if I can get any Daniel Murphy injury updates. Plenty more coming up -- including a live blog on Strasburg's outing that should include some snippets from Sully. Stay tuned.

Mike Harrington

Mike Harrington, a Canisius College graduate who began his career as a News reporter in 1987, has covered the Buffalo Bisons since 1992 and Major League Baseball since 1995. A member of the Baseball Writers Association of America, Harrington has reported on 15 World Series -- including every pitch of the Fall Classic this century -- and all three of the Bisons' championship runs in their modern era. He is a connoisseur of the famous Stadium Mustard at Cleveland's Progressive Field.

She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism/mass communication from St. Bonaventure University and a master’s degree in humanities from the University at Buffalo.
