The gates are open

Fans are starting to arrive at Coca-Cola Field and the early ones are heading directly to line up by the left-field bullpen, where Stephen Strasburg will warm up starting around 12:40. There are four security guards there, three in bright yellow shirts as well as Bisons security director Joe Petronella (there's obviously no need for any there on a normal day). There's a kid in full Nationals gear with a red jersey and cap and another with the Nats' alternate "DC" cap.

"All this fuss for Dillon Gee," cracked one press box veteran.

Skies are cloudy again but no rain.
