Mejia makes first start of the season

The top prospect of in the New York Mets organization takes the mound tonight for the Buffalo Bisons as they host Syracuse in a 5:05 game at Coca-Cola Field. Righty Jenrry Mejia, who made the Mets Opening Day roster last season, gets the start for the Herd. Mejia made one start for the Bisons last year on Aug. 30. In that game, he struck out nine and allowed one run in eight innings but did not earn an decision in a 4-1 Bisons' loss.
