After Sunday's game was postponed due to rain, the Bisons felt the wrath of top Tampa Bay Rays prospect Tim Beckham, as the No. 1 overall draft pick unloaded on the Herd as Durham swept the Bisons in a doubleheader last night, 2-1 and 8-3.
It was a rapid halt to the three-game winning streak the Bisons had embarked upon with three consecutive come-from-behind wins Thursday to Saturday of last week.
The Bisons have played 164 times since they last played Toledo on July 26, 2010. Now, they play the Mud Hens in eight of the next 12 games in a bizarre piece of scheduling that has the Herd playing its final 16 games against non-division opponents.
UPDATE: Right before gametime Bisons PR came through with a late roster move...Saloman Manriquez was added to the roster to replace Fernando Martinez, who goes to the DL with a left wrist sprain.
The pitching matchup pits Buffalo's Dylan Owen (5-6, 4.93) against Ramon Garcia (0-3, 4.38).
The starting lineup for tonight's (7:05, TWC 13, 1520AM) contest with Toledo:

Zach Lutz, 3b
Valentino Pascucci, dh
