Hefner returns to the Bisons

Righty Jeremy Hefner returns to the Buffalo Bisons after making his Major League debut with the New York Mets last Monday. Hefner three three shutout innings of relief for the Mets agianst San Francisco. He is 2-1 in three starts with the Herd and his 1.96 earned run average is the sixth best in the International League.

Buffalo won the opener of the four-game series with Rochester at Coca-Cola Field Friday night, 7-3. Today's 1:05 p.m. game puts Hefner on the mound against Red Wings righty P.J. Walters (2-1, 3.38 ERA).
