Chris Schwinden could have his own version of the song "Traveling Man" with the way his year has gone. He's made a lot of stops all over professional baseball, and he returns to pitch in Coca-Cola Field for the Buffalo Bisons this afternoon as they close out their four-game series with the Toledo Mud Hens.
This will be his first time pithcing in Buffalo since May 22.
Schwinden started the year with the Herd and was promoted to the New York Mets twice. On June 1 he was designated for assignment, and that's where his travels began.
Schwinden was designated for assignment five times between June 1 and July 10 being claimed by four differnet teams. From the Mets he was claimed by Toronto then by Cleveland then by the Yankees. He was claimed agian by the Mets on July 5, was designated for assignment on July 10 and cleared waivers to be assigned to Buffalo.
Schwinden has gone 3-4 with a 2.44 ERA in 10 starts with the Herd this season.
