And thus begins the final homestand of the season for the Buffalo Bisons. Although technically the Herd is the "visiting" team both tonight and tomorrow against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. Scranton is playing the entire 2012 season on the road as a new stadium is built this summer. So the Yankees get to bat last.
Righty Chris Schwinden is scheduled to make his 17th start. He has posted a 2.15 earned run average since the All-Star break.
Scranton counters with former Bison Ramon Ortiz. He is 2-0 with a 2.89 ERA against the Herd this season. He started eight games with Buffalo in 2010 going 2-3 with a 3.94 ERA.
