Bisons to play Wings tonight at 7:30

The Bisons were scheduled to play Rochester tonight at 7 and they're hopeful of getting the game in so they can avoid a doubleheader tomorrow on Fan Appreciation Night. We'll post an update here if there's any change in tonight's status. 

(Here's your update -- the tarp is off the field and tonight's game will start at 7:30)

Jenrry Mejia (3-2) pitches tonight for Buffalo against Rochester's Nick Blackburn (2-1), who has 43 big-league wins and a crazy career pitching line pointed out to my by Bisons PR maven Brad Bisbing. 

2008: 33 GS, 11-11, 4.05 ERA, 193.1 IP, 224H, 96 SO, 39 BB
2009: 33 GS, 11-11, 4.03 ERA, 205.2 IP, 240H, 98 SO, 41 BB

(In 2010, Blackburn blew the pattern by going 10-12, 5.42)

Mike Harrington, a Canisius College graduate who began his career as a News reporter in 1987, has covered the Buffalo Bisons since 1992 and Major League Baseball since 1995.
