Wheeler makes fourth start

Zach Wheeler gets his fourth start at Triple A this afternoon as the Herd faces Scranton/Wilkes-Barre at Coca-Cola Field. The Yankees will again be the home team today.

Wheeler is comign off his first decision for the Herd -- a loss against Lehigh Valley on Aug. 16. Overall he is 0-1 with a 4.60 earned run average and 16 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings with Buffalo.

Lefty Justin Thomas (1-1, 3.75) starts for Scranton. It's his fifth start for the Yankees. He started 2012 with the Boston Red Sox, appearing in seven games. He then went to Pawtucket and was claimed off waivers by the Yankees on May 12.

Mike Harrington

Mike Harrington, a Canisius College graduate who began his career as a News reporter in 1987, has covered the Buffalo Bisons since 1992 and Major League Baseball since 1995.
