Bisons still buzzing at a damp Coca-Cola Field

by Amy Moritz

Coca-Cola Field is still buzzing about the Top 10 play from Anthony Gose last night. The outfielder's straight steal of home made it to No. 3 on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays and helped the Herd to a 6-4 win over the Norfolk Tides.

The tarp is on the field, but all indications are for an on-time first pitch of 7:05 p.m. when the Bisons continue their series with the Tides.

Starting pitchers: Righty Claudio Vargas makes his team-leading sixth start for the Herd. He leads the team in innings pitched (29), strikeouts (23) and quality starts (three). Last Thursday he suffered his first loss of the season, giving up four runs in six innings against Louisville.

Norfok counters with Jair Jurrjens who has an ERA of 2.56 -- one of four starters for the Tides with an ERA under 3.00.

Bisons lineup:

Anthony Gose -- CF
Jim Negrych -- DH
Moises Sierra -- RF
Luis Jimenez -- 1B
Josh Thole -- C
Eugenio Velez -- 3B
Ryan Langerhans -- LF
Mike McCoy -- 2B
Ryan Goins -- SS
