Bisons rained out

by Amy Moritz

The Buffalo Bisons can't escape the rain on their road trip. The series opener for the Herd in Pawtucket today was postponed due to rain. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 5:35 p.m. Both games will be scheduled for seven innings.

Ricky Romero will get his seventh start for the Herd in the opener. He is still looking for his first win as a Bison. He is 0-1 with five no-decisions.

Meanwhile, Andy LaRoche cleared waivers and was outrighted to the Bisons. In one game with the Toronto Blue Jays, the third baseman went 0 for 4 with a strikeout while starting at third base. With the Bisons, he hit .282, driving in 32 runs.
