Infielder Jim Negrych was placed on the Buffalo Bisons disabled list this morning before the Herd's homestand finale against the Columbus Clippers (1:05 p.m., Radio 1520).

While Negrych went on the DL, Luis Jimenez came off. The slugger was sidelined with tendinitis in his knee since July 5 and missed 17 games. Jimenez leads the Herd in batting average (.307) and slugging percentage (.545).

Negrych, an IL All Start, is hitting .305 and leads the team in hits (91) and doubles (25).

The Playoff Picture: The Herd is 4 1/2 games if IL North Division leader Pawtucket and 1 1/2 games back of Norfolk and Rochester for the IL Wild Card spot. Buffalo has 45 games left in the season with the final 36 against IL North Division opponents.

Wagner Remains The Same: Neil Wagner picked up his 14th save in 14 opportunities for the Herd on Wednesday night. He has not allowed a run in his last 18 appearances with the Herd.

Germano gets the start: Justin Germano makes his team-leading 18th start. He leads the team in quality starts  with nine and innings pitched (108).
