Last fridaynightbash! of the season

by Amy Moritz

The gates opened at 5 p.m. for happy hour and the evening will conclude with a fireworks display.

What happens on the field in between is anybody's guess.

The Buffalo Bisons are trying to avoid their first five-game losing streak of the season when they host Lehigh Valley at 7 (Radio 1520). The Herd's playoff hopes are dwindling. With 12 games left, the Bisons are 4 1/2 games behind Rochester in the IL Wild Card race and 5 games back of Pawtucket in the North Division race.

Thad Weber gets the start for Buffalo. The righty has won three of his last four starts. He is 6-4 overall with a 2.63 ERA.

Tonight's Bison lineup:
Mike McCoy -- SS
A.J. Jimenez -- C
Mauro Gomez -- DH
Andy LaRoche -- 3B
Ricardo Nanita -- LF
Brad Glenn -- RF
Ryan Langerhans -- CF
Sean Ochinko -- 1B
Jim Negrych -- 2B
