BPO kicks off series in Delaware Park

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will kick off its free Summer in the Parks series at 7 p.m. tonight in Delaware Park.

The concert will feature BPO Millonzi scholarship winner Jilene VanOpdorp.  Matthew Kraemer will conduct. 

Can't make it tonight? 

Here's a rundown of upcoming free summer concerts as the BPO takes its show on the road for Summer in the Parks: 

- 7 p.m., Friday, July 9, Chestnut Ridge Park, Orchard Park

- 7 p.m., Thursday, July 15, Niagara Falls State Park 

- 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, Cheektowaga Town Park 

Feeling more like rock?

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will return to Niagara Falls at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 17, for another free concert to play the music of Pink Floyd on Old Falls Street outside the Hard Rock Cafe. 

Or catch a glimpse of the brass and percussion ensemble at noon Thursday during the M&T Bank Plaza free lunch series in downtown Buffalo.
