Frost advisory issued for early Wednesday

Temperatures are forecast to plummet tonight across Western and Central New York, and that could mean frost late tonight and early Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua and Genesee counties. The advisory is in effect from 2 to 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid 30s overnight.

Areas near the shoreline of Erie and Ontario lakes could escape the frost, the National Weather Service reports.
