8:36: A tractor-trailer struck and killed a worker on the Niagara Thruway this morning, state police reported.

The Thruway Authority reports that all lanes are blocked between Exits 4 and 3 and will remain closed while state police and emergency crews remain on the scene.
Traffic is being diverted off Smith Street.
