A Tonawanda native who has been known to tout his Buffalo pride debuted this morning as the news anchor on "The Early Show."

Jeff Glor, a Kenmore East graduate, is part of a new team of anchors that began hosting the CBS morning show today.

Glor, 35, previously served as the anchor of the Saturday edition of "CBS Evening News" and has been a national correspondent for "The Early Show."

"I am so proud of where I come from," Glor told The News in a profile by Anne Neville that appeared in the paper on Thursday.

Glor is known for dropping references to his Buffalo roots, and has mentioned the Buffalo Bills and Mark Twain in recent months on Twitter.

The show airs locally from 7 to 9 a.m. on WIVB-TV, Channel 4.
