News Metro Columnist Donn Esmonde took a breast-beating after a piece last week suggesting that breast-feeding women, particularly those who don't discreetly cover, should seek private spaces in stores and restaurants. The column came in the wake of a national "Nurse In" to protest the ejection of a breast-feeding mother in a Target store in Houston.
Hundreds of predominantly negative (about 4-to-1) email and online responses prompted Esmonde to revisit the issue, giving some critics their say.
