Recreation department aid discussion on tap for North Tonawanda lawmakers
A discussion about state aid for the City of North Tonawanda's Department of Youth, Recreation, Parks and & Senior Citizens is among the items on tap at tonight's Common Council meeting in City Hall, 216 Payne Ave.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m., with an agenda review at 5:30 p.m. Both are open to the public.
Take a look at the full agenda, which is subject to change, issued Monday by the city clerk's office.

Tonight's Council meeting is a candidate for being one of the quickest, at least in recent memory. From gavel to gavel, the session lasted 10 minutes; it was over at 6:12 p.m.
There were no public comments. Everything on the agenda passed unanimously with little to no discussion.
The Council did vote to accept $53,407 in state aid for the city's Department of Youth, Recreation and Parks.
Here's how the funding breaks down:
--$6,729 for youth court
--$6,929 for First Offender Program
--$7,714 for youth center program
--$25,414 for administrative costs
--$6,621 for youth court costs (Niagara County funding)
The funding comes from the state Office of Children and Family Services and is administered by the county Office of Children and Family Services and the county Youth Bureau.
