Edible Christmas Gifts
What goes around, comes around. I'm thinking that home-made edibles are going to make a big comeback this year. (They were big in the '70s and '80s.) And, actually, that's not a bad thing. Who wouldn't prefer some old-fashioned cookies instead of another useless gadget, I wonder. And who wouldn't opt for homemade marmalade or bread?
In a strange way, this recession might result in all of us eating better.

Depends on your definition of "eating better." If it's taste, then cookies and marmalade are better. But if it's healthy.... well, this is the season to be merry, so let's enjoy in moderation.

I just threw out all the old halloween candy...now I'm going to be throwing out a bunch of Christmas junk food too? What a waste...just send me a card.

I always give food gifts to my Uncles. It used to be cookies and cakes, but then they started dieting. Now I give low fat biscotti, salad dressing mixes, and spice rubs. As a treat I give them a few spiced pecans. They love it!

Homemade dog cookies are easy to make too! I give them, along with a bone and a tennis ball -- nestled in a decoratve tin, along with a holiday themed bandanna.
Dogs love homebaked goodies too...
