Tune in Tuesday
I'll be providing live coverage of the primaries on this blog this coming Tuesday. I'll focus on the major races and hope to weave in the latest results with candidate interviews and maybe some insights from my reporter colleagues.
Polls close at 9 p.m.; I'll go live right about then, if not earlier.

When will the candidates be featured in the newspaper? Not much campaigning in the print media, as far as I can see. I don't watch TV, so where is the information in print?

Jim, why has the News not covered the Volker-DiPietro race.
It's far more important than the other races.

Jim & Lydia: We have had primary coverage in the paper, although it may not have been as comprehensive or timely as you would have liked. If that's the case, I don't necessarily disagree with you.

Two things I despise about election coverage:
1) Polls during the months ahead, as to who is favored BEFORE the election,
2) Election "results" generated through exit polls before the real polls are closed and votes are counted.
Results are meaningless until the votes are all counted and certified. We are a nation of maniacs to have tolerated this for so many years and with so much blubbering by media from a couple hours before voting ends, until the wee hours........
Worse, still, are the concession speeches before the votes are certified.
Can't we do things at the time they are expected, instead of rushing to report conjectures?
Slow down, people! Except those in Florida..........
