Amherst Police Club backs Corwin

Endorsements occur day in and day out in the course of a political campaign, but while most go unnoticed, backing from police organizations always seem to capture voter interest.

The Amherst Police Club, the union representing 154 Amherst police officers, has offered its endorsement to Republican Jane L. Corwin in the May 24 special election for the 26th Congressional District.

"Members of the Amherst Police and police officers throughout our communities have my commitment to continue to be a strong advocate for the law enforcement community and ensure that they have the tools and resources they need to serve and protect,” the Republican assemblywoman from Clarence said in accepting the backing.

Watch for that endorsement to appear in a Corwin ad near you.
