Candidates turned down interactive opportunity with News readers

The Buffalo News reached out to the three leading candidates in the special election in an attempt to set up a live chat with each one this past month, but none of the candidates accepted.
Live chats provide an online forum for readers to submit questions to be asked by a moderator. Jane Corwin, Jack Davis and Kathy Hochul each declined the opportunity to participate in such a forum.
