Here at The Buffalo News, we are used to the Brown Administration finding ways to delay responding to our requests for documents. That's often, the administration has claimed, because of the complexity of our requests, particularly those made through the New York State Freedom of Information Law.
But recently, the Brown Administration refused a request from the newspaper for a basic fire report. It was the first time anyone at The News could recall the paper being denied such a basic report.
