Thursday's must-reads from Washington

 Today's must-reads look at the unlikely compromise on guns, the unlikely future any such legislation might face in the House, and the unlikely comeback of former Rep. Anthony Weiner.

First up, The Washington Post tells the story of Sen. Joe Manchin, the pro-gun Democrat from West Virginia who went from shooting holes through complex legislation -- literally! -- to crafting it.

Meanwhile, Politico explains why all these Senate compromises will put House Speaker John Boehner on the hot seat.

And lastly, the Hill tells us that Weiner's former House colleagues are not so excited about his attempted comeback.
