ALBANY -- Here are two easy Albany realities to remember.
1: Former Gov. Eliot Spitzer and current Gov. Andrew Cuomo do not like each other.
2: Cuomo and leaders of the Civil Service Employees Association union, the largest labor group representing state workers, do not like each other.
So today's endorsement by CSEA's New York City metropolitan political action committee of Spitzer's run to become the Democratic candidate in the New York City comptroller's race was hardly a surprise. The endorsement talked of how "productively'' Spitzer and CSEA worked together during his brief time as governor.
The statement made no mention of Cuomo. It didn't have to.
