Dem team player Brown gets backing from Cuomo

   By Robert J. McCarthy

When you're running for your third term as mayor of the state's second-largest city and you've been a political team player all your career, good things happen at election time.
That's what awaits Mayor Byron W. Brown today at 12:15 p.m. when Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo makes a side trip to the Larkin at Exchange building to formally endorse him . It all falls neatly into place for Brown in the waning days of his Democratic campaign for mayor against challenger Bernard A. Tolbert, followng other high-profile endorsements in recent days from Sen. Charles E. Schumer, Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli and Rep. Brian Higgins.
