WASHINGTON -- Not surprisingly, the government shutdown and the looming debt ceiling debate bring us all of our must-reads today.
First and foremost, The New York Times notes that with the nation set to breach its debt ceiling as soon as next week, Wall Street is eerily calm.
So, too, are the tea party Republicans who manufactured the shutdown, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The same can't be said for the city of Washington, which finds many of its routines wrecked by the shutdown. But Washington Post columnist Petula Dvorak notes that we shouldn't blame Washington for the crisis -- we should blame the voters.
